Holiday beckons

Work is a drag, the IT project has been mired in mistakes made by a third party that we on the IT team are having to wear in front of the users. The users are either showing a lot of sympathy, or none whatsoever. It shows who your friends are.

Mostly, it's been a kick in the teeth. Not a happy bunny, thankfully I'm in Cognac next week, where I will be enjoying the hardest-earned holiday of my life, and plenty of the local speciality

Looking forward to swimming in the pool, and spending time with my girlfriend, my son and my parents, and of course French food and drink.

My dual spec Shadow/Holy Priest is going from strength to strength. Achievements roll in, and randoms are becoming a regular occurrence. All in all, not a bad couple of days. The holiday will be good, not having work interupt my family and WoW time.

The big migration is over (ish)

Just about to start my second full week in my new role. Whilst I am still employed by the same people, this week is the beginning of the end of my 3rd party capacity and the beginning of the countdown to going full time. The migration to move my former client to my new clients IT infrastructure is nearly over. Now it's just paperwork.

It's like what I call 'The legend of the Chinese.' I get paid on the 7th of each month, and every 6th of every month, I want a Chinese takeaway. I am invariably broke at this stage, so the pain of wanting paired with the inability to get it makes for a tantalising frustration.

So looking forward to a fresh start, and leaving my baggage behind. Next March I will sing "Free at last, free at last" and mean it.

What a great week of WoW, levelled Benedictxiv (My dual spec Shadow/Holy Priest) to 80 and began kitting him up with a vengeance. I've been hitting randoms and using the emblems for rep tokens. However phase two next, use the emblems for gear. That and undo my mistake and kit him with Ebonweave gear for the hit boost.

This week, fish up Ghaz'ranka and The Lurker Below to tie off some fishing achievements.

Well, once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more.
